As a fiction author and mental health professional, Tamberly Mott continues to inspire by taking the Indie [publishing] route to bring her debut novel to audiences who want more than just "thrilling" entertainment.
In addition to providing online therapy and educational mental health support, she hopes to reduce stigma, and bring about more awareness to the three most common mental health diagnosis: anxiety disorders, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Learn more.
With 30 plus years of experience in social work, counseling, and psychotherapy, her insights on the human condition, along with her own experience of having a mother who suffered from co-occurring mental health conditions, and her artful ability to tell stories, makes this (truth in fiction) novel compelling, timely, and a must read for all who's lives have been touched by trauma (directly or indirectly) and mental illness.
Being Still Again is a fictional psychological suspense trilogy about women who have escaped human trafficking. It is available in paperback and as an e-book. Tamberly is currently working on creating an audible version of the book and the remaining two installations of the series. Learn more about her work.
More About Tamberly
A nature lover and a lake dweller, Tamberly enjoys learning and spending time with her family. She likes history and old movies (especially classics flavored with mystery, suspense, and a touch of humorous romance). She is also fond of kindergartners, centenarians, lake birds, farm animals (particularly goats and horses), and marine life.
Since her youth, she has been an active volunteer for various non-profit organizations serving as a foster parent, advocating for those stigmatized by severe mental illness and other disabilities, and creating programs for at-risk youth and home-bound seniors. She is also a proud ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and has recently earned the coveted Red Coat (as a facilitator of Guest Experience) at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, an organization that works to inspire the conservation of the ocean.
"You can call me Tam or Tamberly, just don't call me boring. I know it's a cheesy line, but add a glass of wine and you're bound to smile." — Tamberly Mott.
